It was bound to happen, but students at a tech school have put together a 40k documentary. In the brief twenty minutes or so it chronicles a narrative tournament in Canada. The quality and passion of the production is easily seen. The film doesn’t only present Warhammer 40k in a respectful way it also has something about the current competitive narrative we seem to find across the internet.

And yeah – the guy who originally did it wanted to blow it up into a feature-length, but it was nearly impossible to do a doc about miniature wargamming and not get stomped out by GW (as in, they’d stake a claim into any revenue).
Shame really. I think he did a marvelous job and would have loved to see him travel and garner thoughts on the hobby from players worldwide.
