So there we have it GW has finally let the cat out of the bag. On June 23rd advance orders should be going up for Warhammer 40,000 6th edition.

It is not official time to get excited. The best part is official OFFICIAL announcement will come at the same time WargamesCon is just starting.
What a perfect 5th edition send off!
While GW stores will get the White Dwarf with all the 6th ed goodies for the probable (this could be just an announcement of the announcement) June 30th release (still could be July 7th), many Independent retailers will get their copies on the 28th or 29th– with the pesky German retailers leaking even earlier.
That also leaves me wondering when Wayland Games…err Beasts of War gives the go ahead to leak the White Dwarf as well. We might have to wait for the 5th grader doing the “leaked” drawings back from summer camp.
I have to say, never has there been an edition shrouded in so much mystery– even the scraps I got leave so many unanswered questions. Many sources have said this edition will make competitive gamers cry, but I doubt many sources even know what a real competitive gamer looks like.
What I want is some crying with some maniacal giggling. I want an edition that on the surface makes the list builders, Internet tough guys, trolls cry, but at the same time the hobbyists and real sound players get it.
More importantly, like I posted before people will need to chill out!
The hate will be flying so fast I cannot even imagine. That is why I want to request again, for folks to sit down with the rules and play games with friends and AVOID the Internet! More importantly avoid the comment sections of almost every 40k blog on the planet.
6th will be unicorn meat to all Internet trolls, one hand firmly down pants, while commenting on every forum with the other hand. Every wargaming male of college bearing age will leap to Internet making sure you know their two cents on the matter regardless if they even have read the rules or not.
As for Blood of Kittens, we are already working furiously behind the scenes on sweeping changes to the site. Expect the week leading up to the release, will have the site going down a couple of times as everything will be prepped for the 6th edition launch and reveal of the massive BoK overhaul taking place.
So with that, guys and gals buckle up! We are in for a super fun ride for the rest of the month, and I cannot wait! I will miss you 5th, but it is perfect timing for 6th to come along, no matter how it turns out!
