Tits for Tournaments: Top ITC Tournament Lists June 2016

Warning

Tits for Tournaments is rated factually opinionated. Expect results, army lists, and some light bitching about boring spam lists to follow.

Before we get to the lists, click on the link below to see the past and future large events for the ITC 2016 Circuit.

Blood of Kittens attempts to provide continued coverage for ITC events in a monthly post showcasing the top army lists from the largest events.

This particular post chronicles the big events for June 2016.

June saw one Major Events and three GTs. Sadly, a few events scheduled weren’t able to qualify for GT status.

The first GT of July 2016 happened in Portland June 4-5th, Guardian Cup The Niner. It produced the following top three winners.

  1. Joshua Death 1st Overall Guardian Cup 2016
  2. Matt Johansen 2nd Overall Guardian Cup 2016
  3. Justin Whitton 3rd Overall Guardian Cup 2016

The next event was another GT the Bugeater GT, in Omaha, NE, June 10-12th, producing the following top three winners.

  1. Trent Northington 1st Overall Bugeater 2016
  2. Brett Perkins 2nd Overall Bugeater 2016
  3. Tyler DeVries 3rd Overall Bugeater 2016

The same weekend as the Bugeater we had our only Major Event of June, Terracon all the way down in Naracoorte, South Australia. It used a comped system, so the lists had to fit a certain format of list building, but here are the three top winners.

  1. Matt Jackson 1st Overall Terracon 2016
  2. Ty Swan 2nd Overall Terracon 2016
  3. Adam Napier 3rd Overall Terracon 2016

The last GT for the month is a mystery, mostly because I don’t know any Polish, Oldschoolowe Le?ne Manewry, was held in Lodz, June 18-19th, 2016. If someone wants to track down the winners for this event I would gladly post the lists, but from the looks of it is was another ETC practice tourney.

Below is the current breakdown of what armies are winning events. The breakdown combines all events for the year so far, taking the top three winners for each Major and GT event.

  • 13 Eldar
  • 9 Daemon
  • 5 Tau
  • 6 Space Marine
  • 3 Dark Angels
  • 4 Chaos Space Marines
  • 1 Tyranid
  • 1 Ad-Mech
  • 1 Harlequin
  • 1 Imperial Knight

If you want to see more lists broken down by army/codex you can always check out the 7th Edition Top Army List Compendium. We had a lot of Renegade and Daemon lists win in June, and the Eldar dominance is ever so slightly shrinking. Going forward July and August are going to be insane months for lists, so we will get a really good idea on exactly where 40k meta stands.

See you again here next month as we get a ton of more events added for ITC 2016 season!
