Games Workshop Market Watch for August 2019

by | Sep 3, 2019

Watching stocks over the short-term is often an experiment in futility; on August 7th 2019 we looked back at the state of Games Workshop’s stock and financial health, today we do the same…

Just when I thought Brexit might actually happen on Halloween, the Brits do a bang up job of throwing that date most likely out the window. As with all Brexit turmoil, the Pound has also been taking a beating, but does this if anything have an effect on our plucky Games Workshop and its stock?

So with that backdrop how did Games Workshop do for the month of August 2019?

Now for two straight months the stock is down, which is pretty new for a mostly indestructible company for the last few years. Some of the drop in the stock for August, might have to do with profit taking by shareholders after the official annual report details were released. Which we saw with a major shareholder dropping the stock on the 12th of the month.

Throwing this into the year to date charts you can see the overall is still ahead of the year by over 1,300!

A sell off is probably due regardless of the actual health of the company, as global uncertainty can only stay isolated from Games Workshop for so long.

Here is all the Games Workshop Investor page releases for August 2019.
