I agree with Tyrant, cost wise I would prefer to take two Typhoon Speeders. I think these things are going to get popped pretty quickly. Sure maybe not by melta but a Lascannon or Railgun is going to have the range and strength to open it like a can of sardines. I do like the escort rule and it doesn’t say you can’t use it with a unit that outflanks, so maybe that would be a redeeming feature as you could get some nice side armour shots.

The rules for the Ork & Marine flyers are just incredibly disappointing.

The Ork flyers have decent anti-infantry abilities, but is that really anything an Ork army is lacking? Why would I want one of these over a unit of Lootas, or hell, just plain old Shoota Boyz?

As for the Marine gunship, I get pretty much the same armament as a Typhoon Landspeeder but with one better armour for…double the points cost (at least for my Templars)?

Flyers better get some really good bonus abilities in 6th. Edition and vehicles have to stop being efficient for their points if there is going to be any reason to take these things.

I can see the merit of the Necron flyer, but sheesh is it awfully lightly armoured without Quantum Shielding.

Nice to see you back Fluger. I’ve missed your wise ideas. I’m also playing a shooty ork list but with some countercharge capacity. And I’ve had a lot trouble with GK.

Outranging them isone way to play. With Lootas and Lobbas. I have problem useing the shootas to a great effect. GK weapons at 24″ got a longer reach and it’s hard to move upp all orks in a unit so they can shoot withing range. 10 Stormbolters with Psybolt ammo kill a lot of orks if you’re not in cover.

If I meet purifiers I try to shoot them down before CC. Lobbas, Lootas and finaly shootas. Just make sure they don’t get close. I got some Meganobs I can throw at them.

Palladis are rock hard to shift. And they are might shooty too. Try to avoid them or lure them away from if you can.

Looking forward to your coming advice on GK and Necrons.

The gunship kinda looks like a Squat / Marine hybrid. I hate the lame stormraven back wings, but I like the cockpit and some other features. It looks more like a helicopter than a plane though.

I will probably buy an Ork bommer at some point but it can wait.

well the super shooter are twin linked 3 shot non rending assault cannons… the dakkajet can get bs3 18 shots during a waaaaagh with plus 1 to hit vs non skimmers. pretty hawt, also the bomber has a hilarious table for doing it’s bomb run:)
