Tales from Real Life

Long time no see dear readers.  As I began my semi-hiatus this summer, I promised to make some form of regular return to this blog and I damn well intend to keep that promise.  It’s going to be rough going for me for a little bit, having just returned to the working world in a retail management position that pays almost enough for me to cover all of my bills.  Thankfully Dr. Girlfriend, bless her heart, has for some reason agreed to take over a few of the bills that have been my responsibility while I continue to toil away in retail hell and seek to find financing for my own business without giving up a significant equity stake (this is looking like it may happen soon, fingers crossed).  I won’t spill the beans on what that business is yet, but I’m firmly believe that it will turn my chosen industry on its head and make me a fair amount of cash in the process.  Yeah also it’ll turn me into one of those “job creators” the fuckwit republican party won’t shut the fuck up about.  I look forward to paying a fair share of taxes and contributing to some much needed infrastructure investment in the future.

Even with all of that going on and the scant few gaming and hobby sessions I have time for at the moment, I’m ready to recommit to Dick Move.  To prevent me from succumbing to blogger malaise, I’m going to give posting at least weekly a shot.  I do need a little help from you guys though, as my Internet scouring time is severely shortened versus the streak of unemployment from which I was writing before.  If there are some general themes you’d like me to tackle (more business related articles, making fun of fan units, album reviews, tales of non-racism in gaming, etc) just leave a comment here.  Beyond that, if you see something truly appalling on the net that I may have missed (bad advice, fights, etc) send me a link at sodoffdethtron@gmail.com and I’ll be sure to give it consideration.

Thanks for reading over the years and I am excited about  what’s to come from this site.

   More business related articles, please. My fiancee is her last weeks before graduating with her MBA and it’s nice to be able to understand some of the nonsense she rambles off. Especially when it’s broken down in regards to a company that I actually give a damn about.

   It’s been done to death, but maybe something comparing GW and PP, with attention paid to growth and sustainability. Apologies if you’ve done it already, I’m just not in the mood to search through posts at the moment. But it might be nice coming from someone with some business expertise, as opposed to random fucktards with no idea what they’re talking about.

   And FNIF too, of course.
