Tournament Circuit: Montana 40kon & Game Summit Skirmish Results?
Here are some results for the month of August from events that feed into Throne of Skulls Games Workshop annual Tournament.
Sometimes even the vastness of the Internet cannot reveal all the answers I seek! This happened when I tried to find exactly what was in the lists of two GT winners.
The first event I couldn’t find details for was 40kon held in Butte Montana it had only 12 players and legend has it a Ghaz Mech Ork list took Best Overall. The best coverage for the event can be found here at…

The other mystery event was the Game Summit Skirmish in Ottawa Canada. Now I could find results and pictures from the event, but I still have no idea what army let alone list Will Paul ran to win best overall at this event.

Like I said it was pretty easy to find the results, but seemingly impossible to find exactly what army or list Will Paul used to win!
So if anyone knows what Will run, please post in the comments!

Like 4 guys I game with were in the Tournie. I think WillPaul had a Guard list. He won the last Games Summit with an Ork list.
He ran Guard, manticore, psyker battle squad, mobs, etc, etc

Hey guys this is Total AnOrky from the 40k radio freebootaz. I was the lucky sod that punched in at the Montana event. My Ork list is the most brutal list out there but it did well. Gork and Mork smiled on me those two days. Here is my list.
Ghaz
Big Mek w/ KFF
Snikrot and 13 kommandoz with 2 burnas
8 lootaz
5 Mega Nobz as troops in a BW. 2 combi skorcha. BW- deffrolla, plank, rpj, rigger, 2 x big shootas, extra armor
3 x 11 trukk mobz with Nob, pk + bosspole, trukk- ram, plank
20 slugga boyz
3 x 1 deff koptaz with buzz and big shootaz
2 x 2 kanz, 1 squad with grotzookas.
18 kp and 1998 pts.
I meant to say that it isn’t the most brutal list out there. I guess my inner boss showed up and took over that bit.

Will’s Guard at 1850 tends to be:
Straken + melta in chimera
Battle Psykers in chimera
2 x 30 blob, with commissar, power weapons for the commie and the sergents. One has lascannons, the other autocannons.
2 x flamer command for the blobs in chimera
2 melta vet squads in chimera
A Plasma sponsonsed executioner
Manticore.
There is something I am forgetting – either a hellhound or a second russ – a demolisher IIRC – or both.
Also, he has used the guard for both this one and the previous game summit. I know because I lost to him in round three with my Tau back in the winter.
