I don’t see how driving people away from the game or making the rules less balanced is a good thing. Maybe you don’t like some of the players in the hobby; that’s fair. But driving them away will only hurt the […]

It specifically lasts for both players’ turns, yes.

Land Raiders have one front door and two side doors (which can be either in front of or behind the guns, depending on how you build it; GW goes both ways with theirs, so there isn’t a “right” answer.)

Better to ask why the Daemons book was so shittily written- it’s competing for the “worst current book” award, and it’s a strong contender.

If you have multiple CCWs you can choose which to lead with, but I’m not aware of any interpretation that would allow you to choose not to use any weapon at all.

People bring this up a lot, but they tend to forget that even Draigowing is bringing non-ignorable shooting to the table. Your seventeen doggies are going to eat a turn of S5 Storm Bolters and be down an awful lot […]

Yay, I get to feature in a FNIF!

I, for one, am totally happy about this. As rlye says, books released right before the end of an edition (Orks, CSM, DA) pretty much inevitably get screwed after the new edition comes out.
The fact that this […]

#1: Well, as shown above, this is totally false. Faking a font can be varying degrees of difficult, but if someone really wanted to do it there are plenty of ways they could.
#2: I doubt this is the real […]

I don’t think that’s true at all. Of course, neither do I really believe in “tiers” of codices- there’s basically just the good (most all of the 5E books), the limited-but-good (many of the older books, like Tau […]

The problem, as with any hammer unit, lies in the delivery; you have to put them in a Land Raider to get them there, and in an environment full of Melta, Lances, and Railguns, that’s a risky prospect. It can work […]

Righteous Zeal is still a morale check, so if you fail it you’re falling back. Not a huge deal, but it does mean you’re rolling Ld more than most Marines are.
I don’t generally hold with taking Accept Any […]

AbusePuppy commented on the post, Ork Defense Force: Why is 40k such a divisive game?, on the site The Blood of Kittens Network 1 year, 6 months ago
I disagree that being “good” at 40K is mostly about rules minutia- having a good battle plan, understanding what the enemy needs/wants to do and how to counter that, etc, are all very important parts of playing […]

AbusePuppy commented on the post, Ork Defense Force: Why is 40k such a divisive game?, on the site The Blood of Kittens Network 1 year, 6 months ago
I actually think 5E 40K is a much better-balanced game than 8E Fantasy. Fantasy is still, in many ways, struggling to find what the “right” power level for many abilities is, like magic. Its rules are more random […]
