Registration came up for Adepticon and I’m set to play in the Championships and hopefully see a lot of you from around the internets! My tag’s got my name on here. I hope to cross laser swords with you there.
I had hopes till this morning that Tau would be out by then, but the rumor from Ghost21 is that BT’s are going to be first, then tau. Sad Panda. Looks like tau will have to wait for wargames con.
In any event, I haven’t been to Adepticon since 2007, so I’m looking forward to rolling some dice. I’m trying to decide if we have the people for a team tournament this year, or if we will play in the other stuff instead.
Lastly, and I didn’t want a huge post on this, I have e-mailed the group running the European Team Championship and disclaimed my slot for the 2012 team. I didn’t want to, but finances are what they are. I had hopes of being the first American Team Tau players… but not now.
However, best of luck to the team, they are a great bunch of guys and I’m just sorry that I can’t go. I didn’t think it was fair to wait until the last minute, and they had the right to know as early as possible to put it on the next individual.

Sorry to hear about you not being able to attend the ETC. I heard about it on Sunday from one of the team members. At any rate, I look forward to potentially meeting you at Adepticon!
Ditto! Yea I hate not making it to the ETC, but such is life. Perhaps in a few years when my office is running well and my wife is out of school. But till then I have to guard the pennies. Sadly it was really the flights that I found to be outrageous. The taxes associated with them were mind blowing.
Besides, it just will give me more impetous to win a tournament in a year I can go.
