Thats All Folks

This was supposed to have been posted last week, but rather than publish it went to drafts for some reason …. been busy with new job so had forgotten to check on it.

Anyway , army has been sold, It’s gone and I’m outta the gaming side of the hobby. I simply don’t have it in me to want to pay/paint another Eldar (any?) army, the bent-ness of nightwings (still not as bent as detta’s) being fairly tempting…

Signing off the eternal Imperial wank fest for good, though painting shall continue as will sporadic post on here to show the work, currently have a custom Spacewolves Contemptor comission in the pipe.

PS. I intend to do a series of painted primarchs as FW releases them so watch this space, I’ll do one of each that they release and one only and they will probably be up for sale.

Well after much thought and waiting for several months for GW to sort DE out, I’m signing off the gaming part of the hobby, I’ll continue to do single pieces that interest me and commissions.

It’s sad having the army laying about doing nothing and I could do with some cash in, as I need to buy a POS bike to run over the winter to save my Blade (british winters destroy machinery)

I have personal reasons for letting the army go too….

I won best DE general with this army and had full feature in ‘whats new today’ which came in the top three for that year , linky

Army comes with a full custom cut Battlefoam case which has room to expand the army into, it cost a fortune by itself … there is a glossy brochure/army list which I produced for TOS also included and a set of dice/objective markers that goes with the army colours.

I think most of the pictures are HERE my Flikr pool, a few of the DE models there are not part of the army, but I’m happy to discuss selling them as part of the collection.

I have often been told this is the best DE army out there, If you fancy owning it hit me up on Sorrowshard@gmail.com to discuss, please no time wasters only email me if you are genuine and understand the sort of money this is worth.

Well now it’s all done I suppose I should throw at least a little light onto what has happened with the army in the end.

There were quite a few enquiries, I don’t know if it was just people being nosey about the price but a few of them stuck around to the end, one gentleman who I shall leave anonymous made the best offer in the end and the army from the frozen wastes of Fenris is off to somewhere a bit hotter …. Kris, its going to be quite a bit closer to you now, who knows maybe you will see it doing the rounds ; o) though personally I hope he keeps it in a hermetically sealed bulletproof glass display cabinet.

He requested that I finished Russ to go with the army (the dogs will follow) I did him a discount rate on the group as 1. I wanted to paint it 2. felt like a fitting way to tie up the army to send it off, will be sad to see it go now but it’s a fitting end and in a way a new beginning as it’s technically my first Commission, hopefully I’ll pick up some more work …

Talking of which he has asked me to continue doing work to expand the army, there is a converted Contemptor on the Cards and El D is back in the chair once more to bring a unit of Thunderwolves to life to add to the army , there is also the potential for more and more stuff ongoing.

Should be interesting, depending on the weight of additional project requests I’m thinking about a separate web-page for all the commission work though, in a way resurrecting an Idea me and Steve had years ago.

Ebay was a fair result too so thanks to everyone from here who put in bids for stuff. )

Hello folks,

Well seems the army has sold which is good, and it is for a fair price, just waiting for the money to materialize now and it’s a done deal. Watch this space assuming that everything goes ok the buyer has comissioned extra work to round out and add to the army , so there are a series of commissions in the pipe, the first of which I am working on now…

Been very very busy recently trying to sort RL, so no real blog material for a while, I’m sorry about that, hopefully will be able to resume normal service soon, I have even handed over control of the club temporarily just to take some additional pressure off.

Okay so just to tie off the last of the current goings on I do have a big fat boatload of stuff finishing on ebay later today, there’s some great stuff in there and a more or less one time opportunity to buy some of my personal painted stuff , check it out here: G’wan treat yourself and help me out in the process ;o)

Couple of other things, I went to see Lockout yesterday morning, it was good fun , a bit of an old school sci fi actioner, its worth seeing for Guy Pierce’s relentless wisecracks and I kinda hope it’s not the last we will see of that particular character.

The Feebay Purge continues apace check out my Begging Bowl the Shardmobile is up on there now too, lol. Don’t worry this Archon though Raiderless will be rocking a Reaver Jetbike Instead, sadly a Razorwing was simply too dear ;o)

Space Wolves: I have had rather more interest in the Wolves than expected, its been a pleasure talking to you all currently we have one solid offer on the table and a bunch of people coming back to me.

I am currently sitting it out til Saturday to give people time to make offers and me to think things over, on a positive note It seems hopeful that I will not have to send them to Ebay separately now.

So to put off selling the Wolves I listed pretty much everything I have Lying around that can go Including a bunch of my painted stuff , my opening for commissions has met a lukewarm reception which A.) probably means my painting is worse than I think it is but B.) is a blessed relief as I have alot of other things that need attention atm….

So here’s the last round of pictures on the wolf army thats still technically for sale, I have had interest but am still awaiting any solid offers.

The wolf lord is my counts-as Grimnar , but he does get run in other configurations too, I have a weakness for chainfists and cant leave home without them, plus this is a proper chainfist not a power fist with a lame stick-on mini chain shiv ,thing….

Put him next to a normal marine and you will realize he is a big laddie ….

Model was made by Steve from many parts and much swearing, we designed it together and is to be honest probably the best model I own, I’m 90 percent certain it’s my favorite, struggling to think of anything else right this second….

next model Was also made By Steve and involved it’s fair share of expletives, he is also a very big boy , his concept was a big ‘Bear’ type character, he’s rocking old school pre heresy Termy armour as befits his status. Another fantastic model.

And Finally a model I have been keeping under my hat, it was comissioned for the army and was professionally sculpted by Matt Gubser (I think he works for Reaper now)

It cost a fortune, And I have since updated his weapon options as times move on, it’s supposed to be Russ as he might appear after some time in the eye of terror but he can be used as a lone wolf or Due to the Primarch Stature (he’s even slightly bigger than the characters above) I have had no trouble fielding it as a T-wolf statted lord, the Two wolves were converted by Steve from the best wolf GW ever produced (still is IMO) for variety, it Freki and Geri which of course is the Fenrisian wolves wargear option. of course he can be used as any number of things in a spacewolf army.

Final buyer can Stipulate weather they want this painted up or not, if it’s going to ebay it’ll be unpainted.

Hopefully someone with taste and a fat wallet will email me ;o)

Well Here we are , final Unit pictures for my Spacewolves Showcase/Sale

These Termies are a very special unit, the amount of work that went into these… the design, sourcing the parts, Steve doing hours of conversion and sculpting on these, of course each was painted individually as a single figure too, no batch painting here !

I have had these minis on the desk next to me these last few days, It’s going to be one hell of a struggle letting these go , I dont think I can honestly part with all of them… I may have to sell a kidney instead or something.

I’m going to finish posting the Showcase today and tomorrow, taking a closer look at the characters and a special model I had professionally commissioned for the army.

Today I am EBAY listing all the stuff from my Mechdar which I’m going to sell including some painted stuff I am paring it back to just a showcase force. there are a number of Forgeword mark 2 eldar kits and a bunch of other stuff, I think my fully painted/Complete battlefleet Gothic fleet is going up too and other assorted goodies, I’ll post linkies here once I have done all the listings as it takes ages…

I’ll make a final decision on weather to Ebay the wolves if there is no further interest this week, so next Saturday (6 Days) is D Day.

Howdy folks.

Another day and another post in my farewell army showcase for my Spacewolves army that is currently open to offers (for sale)

Well I have covered off the troops and the scouts, so I’ll do the first of the special units for the army , this was in fact quite literally the first unit made for the army and was heavily influenced by the characters from the lonewolves graphic novel.

Up Tomorrow heavily converted/re-sculpted custom termies ;o)

I have had some interest in the army so far but it is early stages of discussion yet, if anyone wants to make an offer the table is still open, as much as I want to keep the army together I wont cut of my nose to spite my face so if ebay is going to be the most ‘fruitful’ avenue I will sadly have to persue it…

Hello Again,

If you were wondering what happened to yesterdays post Tasty Taste managed to delete it somehow whilst meddling with the very fabric of the BoK network….

Just to re iterate. I am in financial poo poo atm, so (sadly) I am showcasing this army with the hopes of selling the whole thing to a collector, ultimately I would rather keep them together, however if no sensible offers are forthcoming I’ll break it down and put them up on a unit by unit basis on ebay.

I’ll re post yesterdays units below todays for posterity, so people can get a feel for the whole army.

Up next is the fully custom wolf scouts, all the detail on here has to be seen first hand !!

Stahly from the tale of painters network has very kindly agreed to Showcase them on his site also, decent bloke

Tomorrow will be some very pimped wolfguard bikers ( I do use em as claw bikers too)

Commissions !!

There has been some interest on the commission front I’m still offering some slots if anyone wants a special single figure done, I would advertise a bit more loudly but I don’t want the demand to outstrip my ability to produce, I would rather do onlya couple of very nice commission pieces each month and still enjoy it, if that makes sense, I still have my own stuff to contend with, hence the limited ’slots’, If you would like me to paint something (or know someone who might) my email is up on the right there.
