Some of you may have noticed that Disqus (chat program) is no longer up on Blood of Kittens. Disqus while good has been a pain my side for far too long. The new comments system is not much different. No new moderation nor any worries about bots tracking your email– just good clean commenting fun.
The main reason Disqus is not in use is because of the new Activity stream for Blood of Kittens.
The Activity steam is simple it records all the comments from members and non-members. It also records all posts, updates including Twitter and YouTube from any registered member. So if you want to see what comments are being made on say Dick Move the activity steam follows that. If you want to see what rumors or group updates the activity stream shows it. If you want to link your twitter account to Blood of Kittens the activity stream will show it. There is also filters where you can select exactly the content you want: just look right believe the Activity Stream. The hope is that this generates more interest in other blogs on the network as well as other features with in the network.
So take a second and check out the activity feed it can be found on any Blood of Kittens page or by clicking on the Network Links on the main page if you want to see a full view of all activity.
