It feels like I just got back from Seattle and now I am heading up there again!

Anyway, I here to pimp the next great northwest next 40k event!

I am preparing for the TSHFT Open held near the Seattle International Airport the weekend of January 20th 2013, for more informational I turn to one of the organizers to explain it all…

The Seattle Heart of Fire Tournament’s (TSHFT) first annual open is coming January 18 – 20, 2013 at the Double Tree Hotel near SeaTac, WA. The THSFT Open will feature two Warhammer 40K events and one Warhammer Fantasy Battle event. Warhammer 40K Events:

The TSHFT Open features two Warhammer 40K events spanning three days. The event will follow all regular rules published in the 6th ed. 40K main rule book. All official Games Workshop FAQ and WD rules updates will be observed. All players are required to have sufficient printed copies of their army lists to hand to their opponents during the event. The schedule is set so any player can play in both the Individual and Team 40K Challenges.

This is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) event. Non GW models as well as scratch built models are both welcome and allowed in the tournament(s).  However, no proxy of model will be allowed in the event. For any players who are interested in playing a “Count as” army, please check with the TO of the event on Friday (Jan 18, 2013) or earlier to make sure they are allowed. Forgeworld models allowed if accompanied by rules with the “40K approved” stamp on it(either official FW publications or White Dwarf’s). Painted miniatures are not required but highly recommended.  It is highly advised for those players who wish to compete for the top prizes to show up with a fully painted army.

Individual Challenge

2000pts or less with a single FoC with up to one ally and one fortification selection, the 40K Individual challenge is a 5-game, two day tournament using modified Swiss pairings.

Team Challenge

4 players with 1000pts or less per player using a single FoC per list make up each team. Each team will then split into two Task Forces with each player representing a special role which alters their FoC allowances. The team challenge is a two day tournament using modified Swiss pairings.
