The era of 2k Tournaments is over. Last year saw a debacle for many events that just couldn't have players get their games or finally found out that Warhammer 40k is a much better game less than 2000.

Finally! The West Coast has its premier 40k event! I cannot say how I am excited for this to happen, having everything to do with the great team at Frontlinegaming lead by Reece Robbins!

In addition, the BAO will have a Fantasy and 40k  Team & Narrative events. The focus though will be squarely on the 40k Championship and what it means for the national 40k meta.

Will Necrons and Grey Knights maintain their dominance or will Chaos Space Marines and Dark Angels rise to the challenges? How much effect will Forge World units have on armies and outcomes.

Personally, I am ecstatic BAO has led the charge in keeping levels low at a paltry 1750. Now with Feasts of Blades and WargamesCon following suit to 1850; shows TOs and players are coming around to 40k is a faster and better game at lower points.

That leaves NovaOpen sadly as the primary hold out for 1999+1 point events.

I plan on partaking in the festivities with either Chaos Space Marines with Necron allies or just Chaos Deamons. I'm stuck between finishing two Heldrakes or giving the old Deamon rules one last go for nostalgia. I am sure it will come down to the last-minute on what I decide.

If time allows, I will try to post pictures, up to date rankings, and any cool information as it comes.

As it is I better get back to painting!

I still have a lot to do!
