I cannot tell you how excited I am with the Imperial Knight release! They really makes me feel like a kid again, as it wasn't till Adeptus Titanicus more than 20 years ago that got me really into Warhammer 40k.
The Imperial Knight fluff is great and is an actual departure from all the no hope Warhammer universe. Of course, the Imperial Knights have brought up the age-old question of when are we getting a Mechanicus Codex? Are only chance seems to be Forge World, what here is hoping!
Anyway, I know many of you have already gotten the latest White Dwarf, but more haven't or at the very least tired of looking at fuzzy pictures. If you cannot get enough of the Imperial Knight, the first thing to do is obviously going to be head on over to the
The second thing is stay right here and take a look at some high quality shots of the new Imperial Knight.
My favorite images though are not actual pictures, but the sketches of the Imperial Knight. As many of you know the Imperial Knight is an odd concept and to see Jes Goodwin's sketch from the 80s goes to show just how far back the genesis of model is. Amazingly, the newer sketch isn't much different in concept from the old Jes drawing.
Now for the rant.
OMG people, I won't even link, but I just read at least four pages of complaints about the Imperial Knight. Like questioning if it is really 8" inches long?!?! Talk about size queens; are haters really that desperate to nit-pick every little detail. Not being able to wait a damn week to find out the truth. As if seven or eight inches means the difference between you buying it or not. These are the same people who never buy anything, but throw up if only trite crap. Then there are revisionists historians claiming the knight is stolen from the Warmachine!?!
Are you kidding me?!?
As one of the older players, you kids need to know your damn history before you go all spouting off nonsense.
