On August 18th 2014 we looked back at the state of Games Workshop stock price and general financial health. Watching stocks over the short-term is often an experiment in futility. In the last report, GW found itself still floating around the 590 stock mark and even with the annual report not much had changed.

As the third quarter has now ended, where does GW stand as they head into the all important Holiday season?

GW stock has been up and down since the last time I reported, with some investor deck chairs being swapped in and out, not much has change with their financial trajectory. If anything a general malaise has developed, as GW hasn't given any reason for investors to either be too concerned or too excited about the company.

Before we look at the last couple months stock price, let us see where GW stands since the "Great Crash" of January of 2014.

As you can see GW is still down 15% for the year, which unless another bomb shell appears is going to the number for the rest of the year. Possible bombshells are Kirby Golden Parachute sell off, Chapterhouse case takes a turn for the worse, a no dividend announcement. Still, the likelihood of any of these are pretty slim.

To give you an idea of the GW stock pattern setting in let us now look at the stock price movement since our last report.

Like I said pretty up and down, but no real movement in the end. With a minor upward blip a few days ago, possibly attributed to COO Kevin Rountree and Max Bottrill stock option buys.

The only real other news to report is Kirby following through with his promise to find his replacement; by not asking for someone with certain skills or traits, but with attitude and I imagine pretty letter writing skills.

Humdinger indeed! This totally seems like a professional way to find a CEO don't you? If you are interested it looks like you still have three days to apply! I also find it interesting, all interviews will be held for one day only, November 7th 2014, making it very similar to the way John McCain found Sarah Palin to run as his VP candidate in 2008.
