Now, when this story first appeared and people started talking about I decided early on to avoid it, but now after actually seeing the models in person, I just had to get the word out.
Blue Table Painting commission painting service had issues before, but at least their painting quality has always been pretty darn good. It seems like this has gone by the wayside.
Last month, a YouTube video was posted detailing Chaos Dwarf army commissioned by BTP, in it the poster goes into great detail (46 min) about all the crap he had to go dealing with BTP. I have to say the client is the type of client, I would never want as a client. Having worked in Customer Service he does seem like the type of guy who won't ever be completely satisfied. The type of person who invites issues regardless of everyone's good intentions.
Instead of just giving the client's money back and telling him to go somewhere else, Blue Table Painting has instead in an effort to please, admit no wrong, and save money totally screwed up. If you want to get the real gist you have watch the video.
Now all you have to do is watch about the first 10min to get an idea about the paint quality issues, then after that go to about minute 35 minute mark and watch the rest, the client gives a good recap on everyone wrong.
Then we have the second video, which is an epic rant by the client, as BTP tries to resolves these issues, but only ends up making things much worse. You can skip to the last 20 minutes and get an idea of how things are turning out.
The one thing you have to keep in mind with this whole thing is we are talking about thousands of dollars of models and investment by the client. As well, we are closing in on a year from when this project was first sent in. Then we have this points which stick out to me. WHO THE HELL sends a painter to someones house to live and paint for them! CREEPY! It looks like the client has retained a lawyer as well, so it is about to get really REALLY ugly. There are so many more issues and without typing it all out your best bet is head over to Dakkadakka and the ongoing thread on this debacle, especially if you don't want to watch two hours worth of videos.

Finally, I like I said earlier I have seen these models now in person, and I have to tell you they are worse looking then you see in the videos. Thankfully, the client is getting his Dwarves repainted by another team who are doing it all for free! Goes to show someone in the community is thinking intelligently and with some business acumen.
