Tits for Tournaments: Top ITC Tournament Lists September 2016

Warning

Tits for Tournaments is rated factually opinionated. Expect results, army lists, and some light bitching about boring spam lists to follow.

Before we get to the lists, click on the link below to see the past and future large events for the ITC 2016 Circuit.

Blood of Kittens attempts to provide continued coverage of ITC events, in a post showcasing the top army lists from the largest events.

This particular post chronicles the large events for September 2016.

September was actually a pretty slow month, with the Nova Open headlining the month.

As Blood of Kittens reported earlier we had the Major Event Nova Open taking place from September 3rd to the 6th in Washington D.C., It produced the following top three winners.

  1. Brad Chester 1st Overall Nova Open 2016
  2. Brett Perkins 2nd Overall Nova Open 2016
  3. Andrew Gonyo 3rd Overall Nova Open 2016

The next event took place in Canada at the  Attack-X Tabletop War Gaming Expo, on September 9th-11th, 2016 in Kamloops British Columbia.

  1. Rupert Campbell 1st Overall Attack-X GT 2016
  2. Iain McLeod 2nd Overall Attack-X GT 2016
  3. Alex MacDougall 3rd Overall Attack-X GT 2016

We didn’t get another event large until September 30th and the Major Event Michigan GT, held in Lansing, Michigan. Keep in mind this tournament had a very open army building policy, so the lists will look extra nasty!

  1. Auston Cook 1st Overall Michigan GT 2016
  2. Tony Grippando 2nd Overall Michigan GT 2016
  3. Joshua Death 3rd Overall Michigan GT 2016

We did have another large event, but it was held in Poland and without a Polish contact I am continually unable to get lists from that region.

Below is the current breakdown of what armies are winning events. The list combines all the top events for the year so far, taking the top three winners only from Major or GT events.

  • 26 Eldar
  • 14 Daemon
  • 9 Space Marine
  • 7 Tau
  • 6 Dark Angels
  • 6 Chaos Space Marines
  • 5 Ad-Mech
  • 2 Imperial Knight
  • 1 Tyranid
  • 1 Harlequin
  • 1 Grey Knight
  • 1 Necron
  • 1 Astra Militarum
  • 1 Dark Eldar
  • 1 Space Wolf

If you want to see more lists separated by army/codex you can always check out the 7th Edition Top Army List Compendium.

As you can see Eldar are now really pulling away from the pack as we are closing in on the end of the year. The main culprit seems to be the Aspect Host and Scat Packs. Luckily, October has tons of events so maybe with a little luck other armies will reach parity with the scourge of  the Eldar!

See you again here next month as we get a ton of more events added for ITC 2016 season!
