"Dashing through the foe, in a two wolf hover sleigh, chopping off their heads, laughing all the way..."

These pics of Logan Grimnar were leaked last night. And as you can see, he's riding some kind of anti-grav chariot, pulled by two Thunderwolves.

Judging by all the facebook comments, the Space Wolves community is divided.

Many love it. Many hate it.

Everyone says it's Santa, come to judge the naughty and the nice in the Emperor's name!

Personally, it fills me with disbelief and rage!

Whatever happened to "We'll fight with both feet planted firmly on the ground, the way Russ intended?"

I remember when Thunderwolf Cavalry were announced in the last Codex. And I refused to take them, because it was the dumbest idea ever. It just seemed to go against the 'reality' of the Warhammer 40K universe at the time.

This just seems to be another crazy idea, based on the Norse myth of Thor's chariot being pulled by Goats. Goats!? When did anyone ride a Goat into battle?

Whatever next? Giant Vampire Bats and Bat Swarms for Blood Angels?

From a 'rules' point of view, Logan Grimnar riding a wolf drawn hover sleigh is probably an awesome addition to James Karch's Thunderwolf Cavalry Army List.

You get all the army boosting abilities of Logan (who is also a close combat badass) with the speed to keep up with the rest of a Cavalry army. Plus, some extra attacks from 2 Thunderwolves pulling his sleigh.

Either way, this kit is going to sell like hotcakes, because everyone wants Logan Grimnar... or to use his new plastic body as the basis for their own Wolf Lord conversion.

I don't like it, because it's just silly. But will I be swayed by awesome rules?

Maybe...

In the meantime, I have a Space Wolves drop pod army to build - and Murderfang is a very worthy addition!
