WW1 Group Build to Honour the Troops

With the commemoration of one hundred years of WW1 this year, my son and I have decided to honour the troops and join in a WW1 group build. The build is being run by Greg Huff and AstonM1965 on YouTube and is running until 11/11/14, so please check them out if you fancy joining in. I have never really been into this type of modelling before, and neither has my 11 year old son, so this is going to be fun...

We took a trip to our local hobby store and picked up a couple of WW1 tanks, a male and a female MKIV, and got working on them together. Like I said, we are in the dark when it comes to these kits, so we are just going to build and paint them up as close as we can to the pictures on the boxes and leave it at that. This is how far we have got so far after a few base coats and washes. I am doing the male version on the right...
