I have seen people on the net discussing whether metal models are good or resin ones. Where do I stand in this discussion, of course resin.
Resin has many advantages over metal models:
1) Resin models are much more visible than metal ones in their boxes.
2) Details are pretty clear on resin models so you don't get to look at the model with a magnifier to see the details and paint accordingly.
3) Metal models are really hard to convert(if not impossible), resin models are soft and cut pretty easily.
4) Many people are whining about gaps or production errors on resin models, I think GW released liquid green stuff just for this purpose and not buying the errored ones might be choice too.
5) Paint will stay on the model. After spending hours painting the metal model, few weeks later the paint falls off. Varnish only delays the process.
6) Resin models are easier to carry and lightweight, I think you can kill someone with a metal bloodthirster if you hit hard enough.(Might come in handy in a zombie apocalypse)
7) After cleaning and gluing 5 metal models I still have metal dust in my throat, pretty healthy.
Conclusion: Resin models rocks, metal models suck.
