I've made a bit more progress on the miniatures today, beginning with dirtying up my too clean workstation.
You can see quite a pile of bits, the contents of my once beautiful bits box. I took them out to get me inspired some more in my modelling journey.
This work here is a bit more concentrated. You can see a few older stormtroopers with some bayonets and modern sights there. Not sure where to put them right now, I think they will work well as local peacekeepers (NPCs) for Inquisitor and maybe veterans for my Imperial Guard. The characters in the background are various Imperial veterans of some sort or another who were pushed to the bottom of the pile at some point. The one with a stubber next to him was originally constructed for Inquisitor a few months, and he'll be back at some point. Muahaha.
These parts are the bits of my fanatical-something or other. The bare chest, loincloth and bare arms all work well as does the axe. But for this model I have a pressing question: What head, and what other weapon/thing for his other hand? I originally had a Chaos Marauder head on there, but I thought again and looked at this Catachan head. I was convinced, but now I'm not. With the open hand, I like the knife, but I almost think he would benefit from something else.
Finally, a beautiful model that I really love. However, I don't have a place for him outside of my Imperial Guard. I figured you all would like to see some paint on models to keep you occupied.
