Okay so yesterday wrapped my 5th edition tournament career. I finished in the middle of the pack with two great games and a bye. I tried to take as many of the internet hated items I could and still be competitive.

I had fun I didn't do as well as I was hoping, I failed some morale checks when I was hugging the board edge(which was my fault)...thank you terminators for running off the board to ork shooting....I under estimated Lash, and lost a 10 man scout squad and a 10 man tac squad first turn of game one....actually fought back to basically tie that game. You know what I learned...LEGION OF THE DAMNED ARE AWESOME! In two games they tallied 1 daemon prince dead in close combat, one defilier dead in close combat, one rhino dead, 1 wazdakka dead in close combat, 1 squad of nob bikers dead in close combat, 1 battle wagon dead, and a bunch of orks.

So with that my MVPs of 5th edition are Legion of the Damned wooooo!

Allright so since I had a bye last round the TO and I had a 1k 6th ed game.  Let me tell you it felt very different. I have yet to get my rulebook and he had only had his for a day so we were both flying by the seat of our pants. It was a fun game, but I think the fates conspired against us to throw all of the curveballs I was afraid of in this single small game. Failed charges, CHECK! In a big way, no more of this mamby pambying around i could have had my termies 2 inches away from their charge target, not thinking I moved them so they were about 4 inches away. Guess what i rolled a 3. Same thing happened to my opponent. The wounds going to the closest first, yep had two guys almost the exact same distance from the firer, was pretty much impossible to tell who should get the wound. Fun things like that.  Vehicles are much squishier, but not so much they aren't useful.  I think the days of razor back spam are probably over.

I had fun with the game and I think when I have a rulebook to read and a few more games under my belt 6th edition will really shine.  Hope everyone else is adjusting too!
