As you may have figured out from the title, I have returned to work on my nearest and dearest space fungus friends. This week I've started work on Da Pain Train. I've been experimenting with metal methods for large surfaces, (like Battlewagons, for instance) and have discovered a super watery (4:1 water to paint) ratio of Boltgun Metal is pretty righteous over a Tin Bitz base. Once dry, I liberally wash the whole thing with Delvan Mud for that grimy look. Here's some Paint in Progress shots.

With the metals done, I go back and block out all the colours with base coats.
For red, I use Mechrite Red Foundation, and for white, I use Fortress Grey
For the looted Imperial Fist bits up top I used the Iyanden Darksun foundation.
Barbed wire is very orky you know.
I tried to keep the colour palette very limited on this beasty as to keep it from lookin too cartoony.
