The Terrible Tuesday BoLS article was on budget terrain.  Given there were more than the usual number of unused pictures, I decided to drop them in an article here.  Leftovers, as it were.

(As an aside - doh!  I finished at like, 11:57pm!  Way past deadline, even for me.  Larry probably dreads Monday nights.)

Laying out the bits, seeing what inspires.

I keep a big bin for anything that strikes me as, "Hey, that might be terrain one day!"  It's an illness, really.

See?  Ridiculous, what I keep.

The skull-piece doesn't work on that size base - too much extra room for no good reason.  I'm going to bust it down.  The piece underneath just needs spraying and flocking... and I hate the latter, these days.

Have vegetation, must travel.

I needed something a bit wider to mount these trees on.

Here's some of the terrain I made this past week, laid out on the table for a game I played with the Card Pimp in Question.

I haven't built my defense line just yet, so there's a stand-in series of walls there.

Necrons!  My guess is they're fighting over the buildings or something.  Must want the knobby thing on top.

Here's Gauthic's Eldar spread out for the Feast of Blades Invitational.  His Farseer needs a psychic power called Better Luck.  Jeez, but the dude rolled like crap Saturday!

So... I set myself up to have to finish this terrain piece for this article.  I'm a sucker for punishment I am.  Especially since I've got the worst tooth infection right now.  It's what's keeping me up past my bedtime.

There's got to be a better way to transport terrain...

Vegetation... but the purple things will have to be painted a Death World Crimson or something - I don't want to get laughed off the table.

I actually tried making power generators for the terrain piece.

It was going along fine until it wasn't.  The stage after this was a wash... and the airbrush chose that moment to clog...

...then unclog, throwing up all over everything.  (This is where the Master Manipulator (every store needs one) would no doubt say, "And probably improving your paint job."  Anyway, that idea got nixed; I'll have to finish them sometime in the future.
