Greetings once again, my dear blog followers.  For right now, I'm working on an Imperial Guard Hydra turret that's being built to be cast in resin.  Included here are some WIP shots of the completed turret before I cover it in silicone and put it under sixty PSI.

Best option, in my opinion for attaching templates to plasticard; rubber cement!  I'll upload the template when I'm satisfied with the results and clean it up a bit.  As you can see, it's a jumbled disaster.  I also need to design and add the section that actually attaches to the chimera hull to the template.  All in due time!

WIP shot of the main body of the turret.  A punch and die set is your friend if you plan on doing scratch building with any regularity.

A rough shot of the rear of the turret, featuring what I imagine is an ammo hopper.  At this stage, much of the model needs to be filed flush with the remaining parts and smoothed so it looks like a coherent piece.  Gaps will also be filled.

Lastly, a shot of the turret and the lone gun that will be copied multiple times over, along with some PIP Death Korps Engineers, featured last week.  That ring on the side of the turret is where a half-inch magnet will go on the cast piece and will support the Hydra Autocannons.

That's all for today, folks.  If you have any questions or comments, don't hold back and post them below.

Enjoy the game,
-Jordan
