These Sanguinary Guard were parts of my Raven Guard army, from before I started this blog! When I started it I was firmly in the church of the Black Templars (having been told that they are rubbish, I then set out to build an army and prove people wrong. I'm weird like that) and so my original vanilla, then blood angels based RG have never been featured.
Anyhow, I was sifting through The Corner (which long-term readers will remember is where my hobby stuff lives, and the ecosystem developing there has now reached the empire building stage. It has successfully annexed sections of the landing, the spare room and the dining table) looking for stuff I don't want any more to flog on ebay, and I came across them.
I wouldn't have given them a second thought except I've been reading about Mart's Raven Guard army recently, which you can read about here.
Anyway, I never got around to doing the bases but I was happy with the gold armour and the lightning on the weapons. The blue/black wings were meant to set them apart from blood angels versions.
