If you've been reading the blog a while, you know I'm a big fan of the works of Robert E Howard, creator of Conan the Barbarian and Solomon Kane. REH's works have a rough history in cinema, but the 2009 version of Solomon Kane is one of the best.
This weekend, Solomon Kane is available for free rental from Xbox Video. I imagine it's a way to get the movie more attention in the hopes of a US DVD release. Anyway, if you're at all interested in the sword and sorcery genre and have Xbox Live, I highly recommend you watch Solomon Kane. You won't be disappointed, and it may help it be released in the US.
