I think I was doing the same things last year at this time, preparing for Adepticon and the Racing Season. Well the new frame and all of the pieces are assembled and the engine in it in these pics. Then we set the body from last season on it and got it mounted up. Went together okay, but the real time consuming part is to get the initial set up done on it. As you can see from the nose, we have not fixed the battle damage yet. A bit of paint and fiberglass work needs to be done. Some minor cracks to reinforce. Not sure that is going to get that done before the season starts. As you can also see, I sit in the kart at a fairly offset angle.
Funny part is that most of the really bad damage came from about the last 4-5 race weekends, last season as people started racing me really hard on track with the season points race coming to end.

We have changed the front geometry. I have a messed up right ankle, that will take a bit of fitting in the kart with the pedals. I know from experience that if we don't get the pedals right, after a race I'll walk funny for about 15 minutes due to the pain in the ankle.
The whole tierod assembly is different this season, we think this will work better. At this point we do not know if the spindles are going to work, will know better once we put it on the scales and start to dial in an initial setup.

Rearend did not change too much, this is minus the bumper. I really love the candy-blue powdercoat.
Below, everything sits much lower, managed to get the seat in a better position, I should be really laying down. The engine mount is different after I had so many problems with the mounts last season that actually cost me a feature race. With this mount the engine is also sitting lower in the kart and I'm going to be able to move it left.
So one down on the initial assembly and one to go next weekend, as this pic below shows my dad's bare bones frame. It's next for assembly.
And no love for the truck......too many projects right at the moment.
