I've been thinking about making a display board for a while, but I always get distracted by painting up more models. However, the Brawler Bash GT is coming up in a couple weeks and I'm hoping to be in the running for best army. It seems to me that you need a display board to be even considered for that in a GT, so I applied my hobby to making a fitting display board.
My goal was to have it match the Executioners bases, but still have some extra touches to make it interesting. Given the Executioners' predilection for collecting skulls, I considered a mound of skulls but dropped that idea as too Khorne-y. I settled for skulls impaled on spears with flags. I used the spears from my Vampire Counts Skeletons, which I've always liked. Too bad spears are pretty useless in Fantasy. I've also scattered some rocks about, several of which are large enough to make good display areas for my characters.
