One of the neat things at the Springfield race was the trophies.  The individual running the event was and still is an old time racer in his early to mid 70s.  He started back in the late 1950s and raced in competition throughout the hay days of the 50s-70s and was very good and won a lot of trophies.

So, when they announced the rain out and the winner of the Mc49 class, which ended up being me, he brought out all of these old trophies from back then and allowed you to select which one you wanted.  So I took one from the year of my birth. So below you see my 1968 Bug Sprint with the big old trophy in it.  Vintage trophy to go with a vintage win...

And my dad, even though he had a bit of trouble on the track in the first heat, also came home with the best modified vintage kart in the kart show.
Really need to paint up my number panel in a similar fashion.
