Greetings and welcome back to another riveting and informative episode of KAIJU SPACEWORKS!

This time around we're going to go to the Imperial Empire side of things to take a look at a very nasty little list that was created by my friend Ben (featured in my first battle report). This list takes 6 Tie Fighters with no names but tons of skill.

Leaving the Imperial Star Destroyer comes six Black Squadron Pilots. 84 points for six Pilot Skill 4 guys doesn't seem that good right? Well, they do happen to have a slot for Experienced Pilot cards. Ben takes full advantage of this by bring 5 Marksmanship Upgrades, shame that one guy is just left with nothing.

Using the numbers advantage he's bound to have and the Tie Fighters superior ability to dodge fire, he turns what is a not to offensive ship into power houses to be feared when things kick into gear mid fight.

This list is pretty nasty if you don't see it coming, but once you know what to do against it, it still has some power to beat on you. First you separate the ships 3 by 3 on each side of the board and have them go up and pincer in on the enemy. Sadly for the enemy, they'll have to make the choice of splitting their forces or focusing on one side, reducing fire power or exposing their rear to incoming fire.

And that's where Marksmanship comes into play. Using the Ties ability to dodge fire easily this list forces your opponent to get in close to attempt to do more damage, in which one of your other sides turns into the enemy rear and unloads their shots with Marksmanship, which for those who don't know, is just using a Focus token offensively while on crack! Turns the first focus into a crit and rest into hits? Owie.

Many people don't see that kind of pain coming from Ties, but soon learn to fear it. And another one of its greater strengths comes into play in an odd way most don't see coming. Many people see the lower pilot skill bad cause you shoot later, but the ability to move first is very strong if you use it right, which is what this list can do. Moving into positions close to enemy ships before they move can end up screwing them over, which I can say has happened to me before (Wedge, why couldn't I get you past 1 darn ship!). And no one likes bumping into a ship losing the ability to use...well, abilities.

This list is pretty straight forward and pretty simple to understand for new players, since the pilots don't have a bunch of abilities to keep track of, but still has that stopping power when used right.

With it you can show your enemies the might of the Empire and why you should bow to the Emperor's will. Once again, thanks for reading and have yourself a great day.

Hope this helped you and thanks for reading.  -Super Kaiju
