The Emperor’s Children Part 6: Heavy Support

Welcome back to my series on the ideas and creation of a very-post Heresy Emperor's Children army. I'd like to first thank all of you for the suggestions you've given me throughout this series and I'd like to note that I'll probably be making a new post for Fast Attack because of this (still working out the details there). In any case, we've reached the FOC slot: Heavy Support. If you've been following along you'll know that this consists of one unit of Havocs in my list. More after the jump.

I think the most important thing for the Havocs is to make sure they're easily distinguishable from the Chosen, despite having the same weapon load-out and similar armour. I think this will boil down to paint jobs with a few tweaks. My Havocs are supposed to be a bit younger than the Chosen, so their armour will be newer and should look slightly less worn than the Chosen. As far as models go, I went with MKIII armour for them:

From this point forward, this is really simple. The weapon loadout for the Chosen and Havocs (melta, plasma, combi) are the same:

So, as you can see separating these two units visually will be a challenge, but I think with more detailed work with the Chosen and less grit on the Havocs should do the job.
