Here I present the first step in my plan to make the Executioners more competitive in 6th Edition: The Everlasting Sky. I was able to magnetize the front weapons (though I didn't bother with the heavy bolters yet) and the hurricane bolters. However, I wasn't able to magnetize the turret in a way that I liked, so I'm committed to assault cannons there. I don't think that should be a problem.

I tried taking pictures in my standard set-up, but that failed miserably due to the size of the Stormraven. Therefore, I took the pictures outside in natural sunlight, and they came out pretty well. I set the Stormraven on a textured glass table, which resulted in some wild reflections on the underside. Just imagine that it's flying over the ocean and it'll look right.

Here's the basic load-out:

And here is the more expensive version, with a typhoon missile launchers and hurricane bolters:

I'm happy with how it came out. I think the freehand is more consistent than it was on the Stormtalon, and there's more of it. I'm particularly proud of the large axes on the wings. There are some parts where the glazing didn't come out entirely even, but I now accept that will happen with large models.

Also, I painted the alternative weapons for the Stormtalon. Not sure how often I'll use them, but it wasn't much work for a lot of added flexibility.

As far as looks, I think the lascannon is my favorite.
