Good monday to the people of the blogosphere. Lately we have been focusing alot on tactics and playing games in Warhammer here on the space wolves blog. This time around i wanted to focus a bit more on the hobby aspects of 40K, so bear with me on this one eh?

At the time being I am trying to continue the repaint of my space wolves army, but progress is rather slow as i digress alot in between my Tyranids, Mantis Warriors, Dark Eldar, Space wolves and the occasional Eldar model. What i really want to do is sell most of my army and start over, on a new space wolf army, which i can look on with fresh eyes and smile while i paint. Yet again i digress, this post is more about a little wolf priest conversion i added to my space wolves army the other day.

It's not completely painted up yet, rather far from it, so this will just be work in progress pictures, but i think i should be able to paint him up and show you guys next week, for now this will have to do.

I don't know if you guys can see it but there is a fair bit of conversions on this guy, a little bit of greenstuffing and kitbash/cut'n'glue.

First of all i decided that i wanted him to sit down as if he was tracking something, to show that he was hunting something(saga of the hunter). His mace was made by a wood elf banner staff and 3 bits of those aquila looking backpack decorations that comes with the grey hunters if remember correctly. Combi-Plasma is made from a plasma pistol and a bolter, quite simple but i like how it looks. His bone mask is made from a beaky helmet and some skull bit that comes from either wolf guard termies or grey hunters, can't recall really. I think it's hard to see the details from this picture, but when he's done, i'll take some more of him if you are interested.

I actually put him on a 40mm base because it gives more room for scenery and nobody really complains about having a bigger base on your HQ since he's easier to hit with blasts.

There's quite the deal of battle damage one these guys.

I seem to recall saying that i love vindicators. Well, since i'm already at it posting some of my hobby stuff
I might as well show you guys the twins.

This is the last Vindicator i did, i think they are equally well painted.

A Shot from the side.

Allright, that's it for this time, i'm hoping that work won't get in my way too much the next few weeks, so i can do more hobby related stuff again. It's funny how your job gets in the way of many things.

In the end i just wanted to ask you guys what you think about focusing a bit more on the hobby aspect of 40K for a bit, or do you like mostly to talk about games and rules and the like?

Also, thanks again guys, it's nice to know that people keeps on reading, i hope you find this post at least mildly interesting.
