A view from the top, to show as much of the mini as possible.
Hello people! Today's post will not be too long as holidays are kicking in and I am going away tomorrow.
However, this will actually be my first post that involves something painted while i have been writing for the space wolves blog. Without too much delay, i'll get right down to the good bits. The pictures, silly!

Front Right Angle. Badass Mace!

The Saga of Ormyr Ishjarte started on a cold winters day here in norway, I was going to band practice(yeah, i used to play in a band, but not anymore). I found myself waiting for the other guys for once, so i decided to go by a cafĂ© for a cup of coffee since my hands were getting all cold, and musicians can't have cold hands.

Rear Right Angle. I really like how he sits down on his
 knee as if tracking something.

I started thinking about my other hobbies while waiting, and naturally WH40K was the one that was coming 2nd place after music, so this is what i came up with while browsing my bitz box in my mind.
Rear Left Angle.
I think this is where the rust and chipping was the best.

The funny thing was that i was gonna take my time with this guy, but there never really seemed to come a time where i could sit down and just paint to my best standards, so instead i wanted to try out some new effects on this guy for a future project i want to do. That was to transfer my vehicle chipping and rust effects style to a regular marine. Previously i've only done it on the rhino/vindicator chassis.

Front Left Angle. I like how the six sided mace turned out,
although it is a bit overkill. But overkill is underrated!

Now, as a last few words, this project ended up being a speedpainting competition with myself. How fast could i do a model with a decent standard that i would be pleased with showing other friends and fellow gamers. This was the result, and to be honest, i am quite pleased with it.

The whole process took me 2 1/2 hours to finish.

So what do you guys think? Is it a cool model? Does it Suck? Anything you guys think i should have done differently? Keep 'em coming, cuz feedback and your opinions is what motivates me to write more :)
