Hiya! Today I wanted to show you a nice example of how a jungle themed gaming table could look like,
It is made by me and a friend of mine. If you are curious as to how we did it, then I shall elaborate, if not, well... Enjoy the Pictures :)

The overview!
What did we use in the process:
- 4 mm Wooden plates
- A cheap wooden saw.
- A Gluegun
- Silicone based glue.
- Toothpicks
- An "O" for the portal piece.
- XPS/Sundolitt boards.
-Knives and Wires to cut the boards
- Gourmet Burner
- Artificial plants
- Artificial Grass and scenery things.
- Garden decorations, Plantpots 'n' pillars etc.
- Tiles
- Spray cans and cheapo acrylic paints.
On the inside we added sort of a mysterious terrain thingie in
form of a growth organism.
 Inspiration:

Believe it or not, the inspiration for this table on my part came mostly from the book "Ragnars Claw". Within the happenings of said book, they are searching for part of a relic on a planet filled with dense jungle, animals, orks and the emperor knows what.

Inspiration was something i lacked the decency to cover in the last post. Anyways, this seems to be a product of Imagination and inspiration combined.
What good is a Jungle without a "Spike Trap!".

An Old portal looking thing.

Colours! Colours everywhere!

The Process:

1. We started out with an "XPS Board", a pink'ish looking styrofoam board of approximately 2'x4'.

We cut it into sections of pieces of a desired size with a steel wire, after that we went about with our "manly(stanley) knives". The picture to the left shows a fair bit of cutting.

2. Purge It With Fire!

Yeah, this is where the gourmet burner comes in.

We simply burned the pieces of terrain with it so the hard edges and cutting marks would disappear. It also gave a nice eneven feel to it here and there leaving more of an organic look.

3. The Rest Is Merely Small Stuff.

Well that is mostly what we did for this gaming table. The rest was just painting and scenic additions where we wanted them and with that i leave you with a few parting pictures.

Can you guess where this cam from? Yup, it's from a Titan!
It's a nice LOS Blocker for small units.
The MAw! At least that's what we call it. Looks nasty!
It's simple, but i like how it turned out.
Exotic colours are nice to break it up a bit.

Any thoughts on the terrain pieces? I'd like to hear what you think of them. I have only one concern about the set, i think it might lack a piece or two.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I hope you liked it :)
