Having already had a look at the Corporation and Orx teams it is now time to delve into the other two season one teams...
The Veer-myn are not a team for those of a nervous disposition. They have no Jacks in the team but plenty of Strikers backed up by a couple of Guards. The Striker's excellent speed and movement stats allow them to get to the ball easily but their poor skill of 5+ is a real buzz kill when it comes time to picking it up or scoring. In a league ,increasing your Strikers skill and buying some coaching dice are great ways of making the Veer-myn a bit more reliable.
Forge Fathers are the slowest of the season one teams and their speed stat is rather low making it easy for their opponents to sucker punch or steal the ball. On the positive side they get all three types of player position and have a very good strength of 3+. In a league the team's guards and jacks really start to shine once they get 360 vision as they will be able to slam back no matter what direction the enemy is coming from.
I have a real soft spot for the Veer-myn and will always enjoy taking my ratty minions to the pitch (even if they can be a little frustrating to play at times.) but the Forge Fathers have some of the best models in the whole game, just how sporting sci-fi dwarves should look!
See ya.
