Once you walk the path of the Ruinous Powers, you're never free of their influence.....

In years gone by I played Beastmen or Beasts of Chaos as they were known. Now *those* were the days! Mixing Mortals, Beasts and Demons it was a true Horde of Chaos! Several years later, when I had given up the game of Warhammer, I heard word of a new Beasts book being released and hoped it would get me back into the game but sadly that was not the case. They had taken my Dragon Ogres, they had taken my Shaggoth, they had taken my Chosen Knights of Khorne!

Fast forward some years later and a new Warriors of Chaos book has been released and it is as the French say "L'Amazeballs". Demon Princes, Chariots, Chimeras and Skullcrushers. Boom! The only problem was if I was going to play Chaos again, I had to go with Beasts! They're my first "proper" army and I probably feel more akin to those goat headed raiders than the northern tribes. The solution? BEASTIAL WARRIORS!!!

[tl:dr I'm using beast models with the Warriors list.]

Without any thought to what I'd be taking in a 2400pt list (besides you know, Prince, Chariots, Chimeras and Crushers) I bought some kits and started mashing them together.

Elven trinkets

Right now I'm just building whatever takes my fancy. The overall direction is to armour up the beasts rather than doing a straight swap. When the base model is a beast I'll need to add more armour, when it's from the Warriors range I need to make things a bit more savage with furs, horns and hooves!

As for the Elven trinkets, well, that'll be explained next time....
