I touched up the Night Goblins as I really wasn't happy with the stark highlights, so using some purple wash I smoothed out the transitions and darkened up their cloaks. This is a neat little trick if you aren't very good at blending (me!) as it achieve a similar effect that from table top distance looks almost as good! I did the same thing with the flesh using a green wash. Really it is like using a glaze and can really help improve your painting :)
Also I got asked how much wash etc I use after a basecoat and the answer is: Bloody Tonnes! Right at the bottom is a picture of models just dried after a wash, note how much darker they are than the finished models. I love washes and used in this sort of way it can really speed up your painting by painting a light base coat, washing heavily and then highlight up.
Anyway tonight I am finishing off 10 more black orcs (the ones shown below).with an aim of doing further 18 by the end of the month. If I can achieve this then I will be on target to complete the army on time! As always please let me know what you think!
