Didn't have a lot of time this week, so this'll be a short one ;) I did the preliminary wash above with the colors you'll see after the jump...
Then I went nuts with a bunch of washes of various colors to give all that grey some tonal variation and shape.
I used the colors below. Don't wait for each layer to dry either as the messy blending will help it look more natural.
That's all for this week. On another note, you may have heard that Finecast is being phased out. Now I didn't hate it, but it did have it's issues. While being lightweight and nice for conversions, the casting wasn't consistent enough to be worth the price. Also, just last week I discovered this waiting for me in my display case:
I painted him up a year ago. His banner used to look like this:
Now, you might wonder "Why would you store it near a heat source?" I didn't. The banner warped under it's own weight, just sitting in the display case in a climate controlled house -_- Though I won't be dancing on it's grave, I can't claim that I will miss it either. How do you feel about the final days of Finecast?
