As only like 4 people read this blog it's refreshing to put what I want down on the page. I'm really excited about this release for the 11th. With some saying they have the codex in hand and posting info ( albeit crappy info ) it is all starting to worry me a bit.
First worry is Crudduce. I know that now GW codex's are written by a "team", but he keeps commenting on shit in the WD that points at he's part of the team or a team leader. He sucks! period. No fluff imagination ( which BL should write it and paste it in the codex) and has a super aversion to writing good/decent rules for an entire codex. I'm not talking OP rules, just a good internal balance. I have a feeling it's another sandbag to allow him to say I'll do better and make another waay better IG codex.
2nd worry is the god damn random tables again. First this was chaos with the stupid challenge / boon and now tyranid behavior. The GW fix? take more warriors to prevent behavior. LOL yeah sounds awesome. Instagib 45 point models with no armor save, no thanks.
3rd. ( this is a prediction ) worst army specific psychic power table. Hopefully this will allow more units to have fear ! WTF really.
4th. No more drop pods. Pretty sure this is happening. Another army that is not fast and has no way to get a large group across the table. ( no transports )
5th. Horde is not so much a horde. Face it IG can put more and better quality troops with allies that laugh at the nids in general . example is the 50 man blob squad with ATSKNF marine VS 30 termagants. I digress though as with Tervigons we can make more, but scoring is another matter all together. ( still no transport and ability to split a squad )
6th. Harpy/crone being able to be grounded. I did see a term called " born of the skies" and these guys have no legs. So maybe we get a grounding pass. not really a big deal either way.
So there are a ton more wants/fears, but I could go on for days ( OR until the codex is out ).
I'm sure it will be as good as the last codex with a few extra MC's and some cheaper troops. I just hope they don't make it chalked full of drawbacks that work against the nid player. If this codex fails I'll just cave in and go to a TAU MC list with broadsides and riptides. At least it has cool stuff that has some balance.
