It’s been a while since I posted anything for two reasons. Firstly is that I’ve set up a new office space/painting studio in my home that has taken up a lot of time over the last week. The second reason is that The Imperial Knights were release, and I bought two! I’ve been working solely on the first Imperial Knight who I can now happily say is finally completed. I made this one into a Knight Paladin and I cannot wait to run him alongside my Emerald Aces Space Marine army (yes I’ve not forgotten them, you’ll see more of them on the blog over the coming weeks).
He was painted with several layers of Minitaire’s Antique Gold. The green was achieved with using Minitaire’s Ghost Tint: Plasma Fluid over the original gold colour which turned it into a really nice looking metallic green colour.
I decided to call this Imperial Knight, Caballinus to tie in with the horse head motifs on his armour. I very rarely use transfers on any models but I liked the ones in this set and they add something extra to the model.
