As I stated in the last post, we've been a bit busy in building some other stuff.  After driving my dad's dual engine vintage kart last year, I decided I needed to have one of those.  My dad was looking at building some stuff, so I got him to do some work.  So now I have a Bug Fly to assemble.

We had the frame powder coated Candy Blue, just like my oval track kart.  My dad did all of the aluminum work.  While I assembled the rearend, he assembled the frontend.
As you can see, the two chrome plates, those will soon have a pair of engines put on them.  That's alot of stuff on the rear axle.  This should be a real hoot to drive.  As often said in racing, the brown stain in your shorts is priceless.
Now my dad has been busy on his own ride.  Its a bit further along, as he is retired and has more time on his hands to actually get things done.
He sold his Rupp Chaparral from last season, but kept the flamed fairing.  He replaced the Chaparral with this Dart A-Bone.
This should be a really nice kart to drive.  Will be a single engine setup, to run the Mc49 Vintage class.
