A General cant just play one game, win, and call themselves Great. They should not just play one game, loose, and call the list they used trash. They should follow a path, a linked series of games. For at least 20 games, they should develop a core army and play with that army until they are blue in the face. Till they give it a true chance and actually get a real feel for the army itself.

Game 14 - Versus Matt and his Tau-Dar

Matt had been working on a new army and chose to come and battle test it against the dark eldar. His army was a typical Tau-Dar list but with a few unique choices. Vect was very effective this game… and of course died on the first shadowfield roll. This game was played at 1850 so it was a bit larger than usual.

I was able to tackle the broadsides early on. This allowed me to focus on the larger MC’s and take them out one at a time. The stars this game were the 20 man blob unit and the jetseer.

Game 15 - Versus Matt and his Grey Knights

This game was quite interesting! Matt was testing

a new army concept with a lot of orbital strike relays… and it was really a test for his list. Even with the random allocation of points here and there he put up quite a fight. Vect was once again victorious! The match makers I would have to say were once again the 20 man blob squad! And the warwalkers that put a lot of ranged pressure on the enemy as the venoms died.

All in all another great game for the Kabal. It was a test game for the upcomming competitive league that Jason had organized for the local 40k community. The Kabal had now morphed into a more efficient fighting force.

Game 16 - vs Kevin and his Eldar with Imperial Guard Allies

This game can be watched HERE. Its a three hour long recording of our game, that we transmitted LIVE. It was a lot of fun… I made a few tactical mistakes this game in terms of positioning and target priority. I can’t wait to have a rematch. I hard fought the game and was able to pull out a few points as the game ended on turn 5. This was a 4 - 9 loss on my part. (we died on primary and I had linebreaker) This game was a test of my mental resilience as a general. Loosing all my heavy hitters VERY quickly forced me to think of the game in different terms and it was nice to see the list work.

Game 17 - vs Jason’s FatKor. (Fateweaver + Belakor Deamons with CSM allies)

Now… this game can also be watched HERE. It is another three hour long game. And was an absolute blast. I have played Jason multiple times and this was a great example of him working tooth and nail to get a leg up on me even if all seemed lost… He got his chance!

And this game was a NAIL biter till turn 7. Make sure you check it out, it was intense. This really tought me more on the positioning of the large 20 man blob squad, they are a force to be reckoned with but need to be placed effectively and can crumble at a moments notice.

So, the games for the 20 game series are now in its final stages! 3 more games to go for the series… and then of course there will be an Encore. So make sure you check them out. I can’t wait to share this journey with you further, fledgling archons.
