Madness? Yeah, probably

Looks like GW's upping the ante with the release of the wood elves (finally) and giving a much-needed rejuvenation to a long neglected army. It'll only be a matter of time before Bretonnia, beastmen and hopefully, hopefully Sisters of Battle are updated.

Speaking of the last one, I kind of want to start a small army of them as they truly do encapsulate the 40k universe- considering how SRS BIZNUS GW wants 40k to be now >.> They're the last bastion of the satire 40k used to be. Also, raving religious nutjobs with a KILL IT WITH FIRE mentality. Madness, yes definitely but...fire...religious nutjobs. That and James Swallow's Faith and Fire is an excellent read...and the airbrush needs to be tested on intricate models. *shifty eyes*

However, there are a few problems with wanting to collect Adepta Sororitas:
a) They're all metal, save for the immolator sprue.
b) I have to pay AUD or trawl ebay like every other SoB player and still pay exorbitant prices.
c) GW direct (Hell yeah-nah) 
d) There is no indication that they will receive plastic kits for at least another year or 20. -This one is the real kick in the groin as every other army has at least ONE plastic core kit.

Hell, even if the sisters got their plastic SoB kit, the army would become so much cheaper - players would source weapons from the astartes. Another issue with this is that by rough calculations, the SoB will need at least 8-10 plastic sprues to cover everything and maybe add a new unit or two (ie frateris militia). Then the pricing/model count. I'd much rather prefer 10 SoB for the price of Eldar guardians than 5 for whatever GW charges for 5 dudes. Considering the Sisters are S3 T3 and squad size is 5-20, they'd best be priced accordingly.

If I want to slowly build up this army, I'd have to gradually purchase from GW for metal stuff, one. model. at. a. time. *shudder*

I kinda wish 40k radio hadn't gone silent T_T it was good getting psyched up for releases, even if I wasn't going to buy into it. There must be some indication of plastic Sisters sometime, right, right? *crickets chirp*
