I just picked up Vallejo Liquid Gold, Silver and White Gold. The paints themselves look great. The White Gold was very very thick, but I’m sure this can be fixed (hopefully).

In terms of actual painting though, you won’t even believe how well it flows off the brush. I used a very long and thin brush to apply it, and it went anywhere and everywhere I wanted with just a small touch. The shine on these paints is hugely impressive. Here is a picture of what my Dragon Rider’s armour looked like after one coat:

Shiny!

I left it to dry for 60 minutes as I was overly cautious about getting anything water based on it (I had read all the horror stories about getting any form of water into it). I decided to use the Dark Tone Ink from Army Painter (I really like the Ink range from them) and thinned it with a few drops of airbrush thinner. This is a shot of the armour after inking:

It’s a very impressive product. I am hoping that I can get the White Gold fixed up for use. I’ve heard about the pots of paint having a “shelf life” and have one or two concerns that mine did come with that flaw. However, I’ve heard AMAZING things about the Vallejo customer service, so I will shoot them a message.
