The new Militarum Tempestus offer some interesting new ways to field an elite strike force next to your regular guardsmen. I would like to check them out soon but am not really down with the new released plastic box. They are looking great for sure, but they have a very unique look to them and I think they would work nicely as a strike force on their own. My Imperial Guard from Argos has always had a huge influence from Cadia and that’s why I wanted to continue with the Kasrkins (which are absolutely neat models anyway).
So I sat down and grabbed me some guard bits, green stuff and some bits from the new Tempestus box and along came my very own Tempestor Prime.

Scion with Hot-Shot Volley Gun (little Conversion with the new bit from the Tempestus Box aswell), Tempestus Prime and a regular Scion with a Flamer.

I will maybe add some magnets to switch between the Bolt Pistol and a Plasma Pistol.

Also I would like to point out that I had a huge photo session during the last days to get my Astra Militarum ready on the blog updated for the “the god emperor knows how much time”. Check them out here! Quite entertaining to update your biggest tabletop army again. Started them during the 5th edition which isn’t such a long time if one does look back at all the hobby years. Yet I daresay that it was in fact a long period of time working on them. No idea what our readers consider to be a long time run for an army log. Let me know if you like!
Fortunately I found a picture from November 13th 2008, the day I uploaded a photo for my mates letting them know “hey guys, I am about to start a new army”. Now looking back I think I had no idea where this would lead to. And all the fond memories I have with my still favoured army really help to overlook the ugly spots I did painting them. The journey isn’t over yet, that’s for sure!
