Yesterday I had a rather bittersweet experience of getting some insane 50% off deals on a bunch of stuff I’ve been wanting to buy for some time, but doing so because a local hobby shop I’ve been going to since I was a kid was going out of business and was clearing house.

That being said, I finally took the plunge and got the Dropzone Commander starter set, and also the Shaltari starter army to boot, all for the normal cost of the starter set.

Also picked up some Tau Crisis Battlesuits (to add to my stealth suits and pathfinders as my nascent Tau kill team grows), some nice Descent liutenants, and an amaizng 3rd party vintage set of dwarves!

I sometimes wonder just how many tabletop systems I can actively have my hands in. At this point, I am actively building forces for:

40k
WHFB
Alkemy
Deadzone
Infinity
Dropzone Commander

And that is a lot, it seems. At least Dropzone is a different scale. That being said, these things bring me happiness, so who cares if I’m spread a little thin.

Hell, I still want to get more into Dark Age, Hell Dorado, and Hordes!

What a shift of mindset from four years ago, when I looked down my nose at anything non-GW. At this point, I am actually less interested in those systems than everything else, if I’m honest. But I still love the models.
