The Assimilator is one of the heavy floating vectors for Convergence. It's biggest claim to fame is the missile pods that give it ground pounder. At POW 12 and a 4" AOE ground pounder can make short work of light-medium infantry. It's no slouch in melee either. It's rending claw is P+S 14 with weapon master (the only convergence vector with it), on the charge it's pretty bad ass. It also lets you repair d3 boxes if you kill something with the construct rule, but I wouldn't ever count on that. I've used one in game a couple of times and it is pretty nasty. I can't say too much wrong with the model, I love it. Going to be picking up another one for my 35 point Syntherion list.
