An explanation
We’ve not really spoke about the futuristic sports game here on Corehammer, so it may seem a little odd to be running a tournament. Well, after a quick introduction to Dreadball from Matt Beech one afternoon, a game turned into 3 games and from there, a little bit of an obsession has grown. A quick and easy ruleset to learn, cheap to start (£15 for a team and £10 for a Season One rulebook or go two’s up with a mate on the starter box, about £50 if you go with a FLGS that offers a discount). A game that’s immediately accessible and playable out of the box with no meta to try and learn, this is definitely a game and a tournament open to new players.
The event will be using using Mantic’s tournament pack with the following changes:
- Points available per game
Win + 3 TP (no landslide victory bonus)
Draw + 1 TP
Lose + 0 TP - Soft scores points available once per tournament
Numbered team (on player or visible on the top of the base) + 1 TP
Fully Painted team + 1 TP
Bring a pitch, counters, dice & cards + 1 TP - The overall winner is determined by tournament points and any tie breakers will be worked out by goal difference, then fan points.
- If you are using a Season Two/Three team, please bring your Season Two/Three book.

The nearest tube station is Lambeth North on the Bakerloo line or Waterloo for Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern and the Waterloo & City lines. Parking is limited to the street and is metered, I would recommend jumping on the train or bus for this one.
